St. Charles School has a tradition of creating professional Fall Musicals. In 2009 and 2010 our musicals won the Music Theater International Award, celebrating our performance as one of the best Jr. High musicals in the country!

This award also recognized us as a Broadway Junior School of Excellence!

In addition to students attending weekly music and art classes, there are several other opportunities for students to get involved in fine arts at St. Charles School.

Elementary Choir—This choir is composed of students from grades two through four. It is designed to be a training choir, in which students learn vocal technique and performance practices. The choir performs two concerts a year—typically a Christmas musical and a spring concert.

Fall Musical—Each year our talented St. Charles School singers, dancers and actors perform a fall musical. It always features a full stage set, complete with costumes, theatrical lights and professional sound. The 2024 Musical this year will be Sponge Bob Jr.

The 2025 Musical will be Disney Beauty and the Beast Jr.

Mass Ensemble—Any student who has taken lessons, for at least a year on an instrument is invited to join our Mass Ensemble. These students provide the music for our weekly student Masses. Our ensemble includes a piano, keyboard, drum set, electric guitars, and several band instruments
