Preschool

Admissions Applications for 25-26 will be available on February 1, 2025.

St. Charles offered its first class of preschool in the Fall of 2012! We began with one class for 3-year-olds and a class for 4-year-old children. We are giving parents a choice of a morning or an afternoon session.It is our hope that each child will maximize his/her physical, social, emotional, and intellectual potential. Students will be instilled with the values of respect and responsibility. We ask that all enrolled preschool children be potty trained and self-sufficient in the bathroom. Curriculum

Students will be introduced to colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. They will learn to develop Christian attitudes in sharing, taking turns, listening, helping, loving, thanking, and celebrating. They will explore their environment using the five senses with many “hands-on” experiences and will develop initiative and creativity through play. Our curriculum is Creative Curriculum and Heggerty.

Catholic Faith

All aspects of their day will focus on the love of ourselves and our neighbors. The students will learn simple prayers as well as listen to and discuss Bible stories.

Days and Times of Preschool and Extended Care

The preschool 3-year-old program has 2 classes, with a maximum of 14 students and 2 teachers. Classes are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8-11 a.m. There are various options for extended care for our 3-year-olds. 3-year-old students may attend on Mondays and Fridays, and extended day options are offered until 6 p.m. daily.

The preschool 4-year program has 3 classes, with a maximum of 16 students and 2 teachers. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8-11 a.m. There are various options for extended care for our 4-year-olds. 4-year-old students may attend on Fridays, and extended day options are offered until 6 p.m. daily.

We do not offer a multi-child discount for the preschool program.
