You may ask yourself, what is the difference between a commission and a committee?
At St. Charles, a “Commission” is a group of volunteers who is appointed and officially charged with performing a function. Commissions are also represented at Parish Council meetings.
A “Committee” is a group of volunteers who nominate their own membership and perform their mission on a permanent or ad hoc basis.
Both committees and commissions are very important to the day-to-day operations of our parish community.
