Eucharistic Ministers, or more properly called Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, are men, women, and teens in the parish that have been baptized Roman Catholic, and have made their First Communion. They assist with the reverent distribution of the Eucharist at Mass on weekends, Holy Days, Funerals, 8:30 am weekday services, and they may take Communion to the sick and homebound. Ministers are trained by the ministry coordinator prior to being placed on a team for the Mass time of the ministers’ choosing. Most teams are scheduled for one Mass per month.
