Welcome!

A Letter from Father Haemmerle

St. Charles Borromeo Parish was founded in 1962 just as the Second Vatican Council was beginning. The council was and remains the inspiration for our parish. Monsignor Gilligan, its first pastor, implemented the principles of that council. Lay people were invited, encouraged, to become engaged in ministry at the parish. That attitude has continued to grow over the past 50 years, and today we have over fifty ministries, serving every age group in the parish and reaching out to others outside the parish. Please click the following link to read about all of our commissions and ministries.

We have a wonderful staff, faith filled and well trained, to serve our parishioners. We have a great parish school that prepares the students for high school and beyond. This coming year we are beginning our preschool program. We have a fine religious education program for our parishioners who attend the public school. Our Youth Ministry Program is strong, we are reaching out to young adults, and our faith formation programs offer many opportunities to grow in our faith. Our Social Justice Commission and St. Vincent DePaul Society are two of the programs reaching out to serve others less fortunate. The Chuck Wagon program offers great social programs for our older parishioners. Looking through our website will give more information on these programs, and so many more.

Everything we do flows from the sacred liturgy. We have five masses every weekend and two masses daily. There are many liturgical ministries, the music ministry, lectoring, etc. that help create prayerful services. We have been doing all of this for fifty years, and all year long we are celebrating that special anniversary. Our parishioners are proud of their parish. We invite you to learn more about the parish on this website, and to join us at St. Charles Borromeo Parish.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Gerald Haemmerle
