Adult Choirs: These ensembles sing for the 9 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses on Sundays, as well as the 5 p.m. Saturday Mass. Members must be at least high school age. The choirs rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. during the school year. They also sing for solemnities and the other occasions including Christmas, Holy Week and concerts. Adult cantors are usually members of the choir and attend the Wednesday evening rehearsals.
Funeral choir: Sings on demand for all funeral and memorial Masses. The funeral choir rehearses 30 minutes before each liturgy for the deceased.
Instrumentalists: These musicians accompany the Saturday 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses. They also play for solemnities and other occasions including Christmas, Holy Week and concerts. Instruments vary and include guitar, piano, organ, percussion, marimba, violin, cello, flute, trumpet and others. Instrumentalists typically are high school age or older, and may be asked to audition. They are encouraged, but not required, to attend the adult choir’s Wednesday evening rehearsals; other rehearsals may be required, especially for special events.
