There are many unique pieces of art commissioned for St. Charles Borromeo Church, including glass installations created by artist Kenneth von Roenn. On Monday evening, June 10, St. Charles will be hosting a reception at which parishioners can learn about all of the church’s art works as well as meet with Mr. von Roenn, who will be giving a presentation about his work.

The scope of the event is being extended to showcase works of the talented artists who are members of our congregation. We are inviting artists in our parish to submit artwork to be exhibited in the Gathering Space that evening. Work may be in any medium. Liturgically themed art is preferred. Each selected artist may show as many as two or three pieces. Artists whose work has been selected are also invited to stand with their work and speak to our guests about their art.

To submit artwork examples, please email photos and a brief description to our Business Manager Steve Morris at smorris@stcharles-kettering.org. The Arts Gala committee will review the submissions with the intention of exhibiting as many artists’ work as possible. To be considered, submissions must be received by April 30.
