Junior High Science Fun!
6th grade took soil samples from different areas around school.
They identified the soil types in class on Friday.

Last week, the 7th grade learned about the sun's energy passing through the atmosphere and about heat transfer. They built solar ovens with the goal of trapping and retaining as much heat as possible through the day.
As we approach the end of the school year we just wanted to remind everyone about our face covering/mask policy:
  • The face covering/mask should cover your child's nose and mouth and fit under the chin.
  • The face covering/mask should fit snugly against the sides of your child's face - this can be a challenge for smaller children so please provide them with a mask that fits correctly. If your child is continually adjusting their masks, it does NOT fit properly.
  • Make sure your children can breathe easily.
  • Your child should come to school with extra masks.
  • Your child should change their mask during the school day if it becomes soiled.
  • Fabric masks should be washed before next wear - How to wash.
  • Fabric masks should be changed when soiled or after wearing for 1 day.
  • Disposable masks should be disposed of when soiled or at the end of the day.
  • Do not touch your mask once it is on. If you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.

Here is a quick video on the proper wear of face coverings/maks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt68rFG9Wq4
Please take a moment to remind your children on how to properly wear their face covering/mask.
We appreciate your support and look forward to ending the school year with healthy families.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Put distance between yourself and other people (at least 6 feet).
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily.
