ADVENT WREATH WORKSHOP
November 29th 9-11am in school cafeteria.

The Advent wreath is one of the most recognized symbols and traditions of the Advent season. Come build your own using live greens and the purple and pink candles that mark the season! You’ll be able to make and bless your wreath, and be given an Advent prayer booklet. This is a perfect event for families, singles, or a group of friends! We’ll be adjusting some of our setup/procedures to accommodate for necessary safety precautions.
Only $25 per wreath! Register on our website: stcharles-kettering.org.
GIVING TREE

Each year, we celebrate Christmas by sharing gifts with the community around us.
Beginning on November 29, ornaments will be available on the Giving Tree located in the Gathering Space. You and your family are invited
to take an ornament and shop for the person or items listed.
Please plan to return the wrapped items, with tags attached,
to the tree no later thanDecember 13.
We pray this tree will bless many lives this year!
Nativity Lights

In light of current safety restrictions, we’re excited to introduce a new event this Advent – “Nativity Lights: a drive-thru experience of the road to Bethlehem”!
From 6-8pm on Dec 20th load up in your cars with a hot drink and experience the wonder of this season while staying safe and warm! Drive through the light displays on our campus as you make your way through the town of Bethlehem to the long-awaited Nativity.
Saint Nick will be there too!
The success of this event will take a community effort! If your family/group would like to take ownership of a small section of the route (whether it’s creating a scene with lights and cutouts, or setting up one of our Bethlehem town booths) we would love your help! Likewise, if you’re skilled/experienced with lights, set-design, or simply willing to help with manual labor and set up, please contact Deme Crinion at 434-9272 or dcrinion@stcharles-kettering.org

Retired Staff Spotlight of the Week!
“Whenever God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.” One of these “windows” was the birth of my second grandson, Judah, on August 30 th . Since his
birth, I’ve spent quite a bit of time helping my daughter with him and his two-year-old brother, Elliott.
I’ve finally had the time to use my great love for dogs
and volunteer for 4 Paws 4 Ability, an agency that trains service dogs for children with disabilities. My long-term (post-Covid) goal is to train a therapy dog of my
own to take to hospitals, nursing homes and schools.
Who knows, maybe someday I will bring my service dog to St. Charles!
