OHIO COVID Care Line
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS) announced the launch of a new
mental health “COVID CareLine for Ohioans.”
Trained staff will be available to provide emotional assistance to anyone struggling with mental health concerns
due to the ongoing stress of the pandemic.
The number to call is 1-800-720-9616. The "COVID Care Line" will be open between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week. After 8pm, it will roll over to a national hotline over-night. A
ll calls will be confidential.
Crisis Care Lines
If you or a family member need help coping with a stressful situation, you can call or TEXT a trained Crisis Counselor.
Text the keyword “4hope” to 741 741 to be connected to a trained Crisis Counselor within 5 minutes. Reach out by text to communicate with someone trained to listen and respond in a method that is private, secure and confidential.
The Crisis Text Line is a free, confidential service available 24/7 via text on mobile devices.
Data usage while texting Crisis Text Line is free and the number will not appear on a phone bill with the mobile service carrier. People of all ages can use the crisis text line.
You can also call the local Samaritan Health 937-224-4646. This is a confidential 24/7 line. The National Suicide Prevention line is also 1-800-273-8255.
Grief Counselors and Alter HOPE SQUAD Available at St. Charles
St. Charles will have adult counselors and the HOPE SQUAD from Alter available on
Wednesday, April 29 from 4-5pm
