Drive Thru Fish Fry - This Friday *Last Chance*

Thank you to those who already purchased tickets or responded via the poll. If you have not, please click the link below and respond with the number of dinners you plan to purchase in the Drive Thru line:
Take advantage of this opportunity to let the Hecht Family cook for you Friday with their delicious fish dinner! With all the uncertainty surround us, enjoy a fish dinner this third Friday in Lent.
Responses are needed by tomorrow for an accurate count for Friday.
Each ticket is $15 and with that ticket you get two fish sandwiches and fries.
Parents with Students on Free and Reduced Lunches please read.
 
St. Albert Nutrition Service will be offering “To-Go” meals during the (COVID-19) extended school closure, to families that currently qualify for free and reduced priced meals.

The School Nurse will be available Monday-Friday 8-12 during posted office hours. The health and well-being of the students and staff are a priority of St. Charles School.  We will continue to monitor the situation and take guidance from Public Health - Dayton Montgomery County , the Ohio Department of Health , and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

How do I get my child's medication:
The School Nurse will be available during school office hours posted (8-12 Monday-Friday). A parent, guardian or another designated adult with written or verbal permission from the parent/guardian may pick up at the main office.

How you can help prevent coronavirus (COVID19):
Prevention is a key strategy as with any virus, such as influenza so it is important to protect yourself and take measures to protect others. We recommend the following actions to help prevent the spread of viruses:
Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water is not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth and face with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with those who are sick.
Cover your cough / sneeze
Social distancing

Watch for symptoms of coronavirus (COVID19):
Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness.
The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure. *
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face
*This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning.

LIBRARY UPDATE

Have you downloaded the Destiny Discover app yet? Destiny Discover by Follett is the link to our library collection of over 1000 E-books. Find the free app in your app store and download, select Ohio and select St. Charles Borromeo School, Kettering. Sign in with your student’s Renaissance/ IXL username and password. You can also find the website at https://acld.follettdestiny.com/ .  If you have a  password problem, email me at mbrown@stcharleskettering.org

Our local public libraries have digital books and videos to download. You can check them out too.

InfOhio.org is a great digital resource for Ohio students in preschool - 12th grade. No username or password is required. Check out Bookflix for preschool - 5th grade, World Book Student, IWonder, World Book Kids and many other tools.
