LIBRARY UPDATE

Many thanks to all the people that made the Follett Book Fair a great success last week. I appreciate the volunteers who helped set up, take down and work as cashiers at the Book Fair. I could not have done it without you! I appreciate all the students, parents,grandparents and friends who shopped at the Book Fair. The profits will go to buy new books for the library.

Intramural Basketball Open
students in grades 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Students in 1st thru 3rd grade are invited to play Intramural Basketball.
Cost per player is $15.
There will be a player evaluation on Friday, November 1st.
The season will last from early November to early January.

Arts Shirt- For ALL STUDENTS IN Show Choir, Elementary Choir and Handbell Choir Students.

  • Attached is the link to the $15 Arts Shirt, available now for purchase online.  https://deuceshirts.com/product/st-charles-broadway-tee/ All shirts will be produced in bulk and distributed through school with students prior to Thanksgiving Break- a communication will be sent in the Chatter when all shirts are sent home with students
  • Shirts are 50/50 cotton/poly- if you are uncertain regarding sizing, you can look at any basic 50/50 St. Charles t-shirt for reference
  • When ordering, users should select "Pick Up at Deuce" to avoid a shipping fee- there is no way to refund this fee if you make the wrong selection
  • ORDER DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31 (no exceptions- if you miss the deadline, your student can wear a plain black t-shirt for performances)

On Sunday, October 27 from 4-6 p.m., join us in the parking lot between the school and the church for a fun evening of treats, games and fellowship. Congratulations to Will and Lauren Meade!
Will & Lauren Meade had the honor of competing in the World IFSHA Friesian show the weekend of 10/4-10/6. Both children enjoyed showing their horses in numerous events.

Will and his horse, Ghel-Flainngk Van Dream Gait were declared world champions in Hunt Seat Equitation while also placing in the top 5 in 4 other hunt seat and saddle seat classes.

 Lauren and her horse, Bohdan Van Dream Gait were declared world champions in Dressage Sport Horse and also placed in 3 other classes. 

We loved the support of our St. Charles family and friends who came to watch and support! 
Babysitting Night Out!

In a few short weeks, 34 high school youth and adults will be traveling to a National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis! To fund raise, we are offering a night of babysitting! Adults and youth on the trip are offering an evening out: go on a date, do some early Christmas shopping, or just have some time to yourself!
Children Ages 3-13 are invited on Saturday November 2 nd  from 4:30pm-8:30pm! $25 for the first child and $10 for each sibling (a $50 family maximum). The evening includes: crafts, games in the PAC, and a pizza dinner! All proceeds go towards our trip to Indianapolis!

Alter High School Open House

Parent Receptions
Parents are invited to attend any one of our parent receptions hosted in neighborhoods in and around Dayton. In a casual atmosphere and comfortable setting, parents are encouraged to ask questions of current CJ parents, students and school representatives about the Catholic educational experience that CJ provides.
