Goodwill Stores Drive to Victory Band Edition
This program is a collection drive coordinated by Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley to benefit the many services provided to people with needs in our community. Bands in the community compete each week in the Fall to collect the most donations. The Archbishop Alter Marching Knights are competing with the Carroll High School band during the week of September 10-14! The Goodwill trailer will be in the Alter parking lot with an attendant to assist with unloading all next week. The attendant’s hours will be (Monday, Sept. 10 Noon – 7pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Sept. 11-13 8 am – 7 pm and Friday Sept. 14 8 am – Noon). At the end of the week the winning band will receive a $200 scholarship. If you have a car or larger donation call 228-AUTO and indicate the donation should be for Alter Band Collection, the band receives 1000 pound bonus. At the end of High School Band’s regular season, the Band that has collected the most donations by weight will be the Overall Champion. That Band will be awarded an additional $1,000 scholarship from Arby’s. Please consider donating at Alter High School Sept.10-14!
