Feast of All Saints—Wednesday, November 1

Celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, a holy day of obligation, with us at the following Masses: 6:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. (Alter High School and community), and 5:30 p.m. On this day, we celebrate the saints known and unknown to us who enjoy the glory of heaven and serve as our holy example.

Offices CLOSED Monday, September 4

The church, school and faith formation offices will be closed Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day. There will be no 8:30 a.m. Mass here. We will be having Mass at St. Francis at 9:00 a.m. Please join us!

July 4 Mass

We will be having Mass at St. Charles at 9:00 a.m. on July 4. There will be a reception sponsored by the Knights of Columbus to follow in the Charles-Borromeo Room. Please join us!

Calling All Superheroes — Bible Camp Is Coming!

Last year, more than 300 children, teens & adults had fun at Bible Camp! This year’s exciting Bible Camp, “Hero Central: Discover Your Strength in God!” runs June 19-23, 9 a.m. to noon, in the PAC. Each morning is filled with Bible stories and activities, music, arts & crafts, games and more!

COME AND BRING YOUR SIDEKICK!

Superheroes: Kindergarten – Grade 6 are invited to discover their strength in God, have fun with friends and eat popsicles! Special needs children are welcome.

Superheroes: Teens, Parents and Grandparents are needed to help staff our camp (for teens, it’s a great opportunity to earn service hours!) Teen and Adult Enrichment Programs are provided. A preschool program and babysitting are available for children of Staff parents.

COST: $40 for one Camper, $60 for two Campers, $80 for three or more Campers per family. Camp fee includes a T-shirt, materials, daily snacks and one music CD per family. Scholarships are available upon request.

David Haas Concert

Internationally known composer, retreat/workshop leader and recording artist David Haas is coming to St. Charles on Friday, February 17 at 7 p.m.! This free event is open to the public, and offers a rare opportunity to experience the music we all know and love, including “Blest Are They”, “The God of Second Chances”, “You Are Mine” and more, straight from the composer himself.

Then on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., David will lead a retreat-workshop filled with music and reflection entitled “That You Might Have Life: 12 Spiritual Steps for the Call to Holiness.”

Please join us for the Eighth Annual St. Charles Spaghetti Dinner, featuring Kettering’s own Mamma DiSalvo’s Restaurant. St. Charles is honored to have the best Italian Restaurant in the area cater the event — complete with salad, roll, spaghetti and one of Mamma’s famous Italian meatballs! All proceeds from the dinner go towards a Youth Ministry scholarship for two outstanding high school seniors.

St. Charles Children’s Choir — Inquiry

Mr. Christian Cosas, our parish music director, is exploring options for a parish Children’s Choir (grades 3-8) and needs your input! If your child loves to sing and is interested in joining the choir, please visit and fill out the following form:  https://goo.gl/forms/EU8FxQjbmNrJVCIA2

This is not a registration form, but an opportunity for Mr. Cosas to gather information and gauge interest. Rehearsals will be on Wednesday afternoons at 3, and will start by mid-October. Our goal is to sing at one of the weekend Masses once a month. More details will be coming soon.

Knights of Columbus Bob Evans Community Fund Raiser

Bob Evans and the St. Charles Knights of Columbus are once again hosting a weekend community fundraiser July 22-24 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Bob Evans will generously donate 15% of sales on any breakfast, lunch, dinner or carryout order when you present a flier.
