Pastoral Region

Parish Collaboration

(also referred to as The Futures Project)

We are proud to announce that The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has paired The Church of St. Charles Borromeo with St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Centerville, Ohio as a pastoral region. This collaboration strengthens the ministry opportunities available to our parishioners, which include rotating national holiday Masses, combined Advent/Lenten reconciliation services, and shared ministerial and social events.

As a result of The Futures Project, pastoral regions were created in order to address the projected increase in the number of laity serving in the church, as well as a decline in the number of priests. Pastoral regions are seen as a long-term tool for maintaining ministries through cooperation and collaboration of the parishes within each region of each deanery, when only 100 pastors may serve the archdiocese.
